Are the giants bigger than the promise?

Numbers 13:27-33

And they told him, "We came to the land to which you sent us. It flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. However, the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified and very large. And besides we saw descendants of Anak there.

The Amalekites dwell in the land of the Negeb. The Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the hill country. And the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and along the Jordan." But Caleb quieted the people before Moses and said, "Let us go up at once and occupy it, for we are well able to overcome it."

Then the men who had gone up with him had said "We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we are." So they brought to the people of Israel a ad report of the land they had spied out saying, "The land through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people that we saw in it are of great height. And there we saw the Nephilim (the sons of Anak) and we seemed to ourselves like grasshoppers, and so we seemed to them."

This is such a powerful story. Can I just ask the question; Where are all the Caleb's at? In Numbers 13:2 God told Moses "Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the people of Israel." Did it take God off guard that there were mighty armies and fortified cities? Did it take God off guard that there were giants in the land? Absolutely not. God wanted the spies to see it and He wanted to see if they would all come back with a bad report. Thank God for Joshua and Caleb, the only two out of the twleve that came back with a good report.

Let me just tell you something, when God gives you a promise or a key to your destiny you can be almost positive that a test comes to see if you will walk in it or not. You mean to say that its possible to not walk in your God given destiny? Yes and you know what? So many are doing it today. Sometimes fear will stop you, sometimes worry, doubt, unbelief. The enemy is bound and determined to get you to doubt the promise and may fall right into the trap and the snare of the enemy.

Well the devil can't have my destiny, I refuse. What about you? Where is your fight? Where is your tenacity? Where is your faith? Are the giants bigger than your promise? The Bible says that no weapon formed against you shall prosper. The devil is a liar! You got to fight for your destiny. You got to fight for your promise. You can't just lay down and allow the enemy to defeat you. You can't just accept defeat!

Today I want to stir up your faith, I want to stir up the fight in you. Some of you have just been laying around defeated, allowing the enemy to come in and beat you up. Do you know what? Your a child of the most high God! If God be for you, who can be against you? I don't care about the giants that are in the land... I don't care about the enemy. I don't care about the haters. I don't care about the devil. They don't hold the keys to my destiny. Remember keys unlock and lock doors. God has given you the keys.... He didn't give the keys to the devil, He gave them to you. So stand up today with the keys in your hand.

The promise is bigger than the giants. The destiny is bigger than the giants. Don't you cower down and put your head between your legs and say, "but Troy, did you see the giants?" My reply to that is "yea, so what?" Who cares abou your giants. Your God is bigger than your giants!

So today I urge you to not give up. Today I urge you to keep fighting, no matter what!
